KIDS WANNA ROCK VERSIONES (70) TRAIN KEPT AROLLIN' Tiny Bradshaw, 1951 by RockologiaTwit

"Train Kept A-Rollin'" is a song first recorded by American jazz and rhythm and blues musician Tiny Bradshaw in 1951. Originally performed in the style of a jump blues, Bradshaw borrowed lyrics from an earlier song and set them to an upbeat shuffle arrangement that inspired other musicians to perform and record it. Johnny Burnette and the Rock and Roll Trio made an important contribution in.. The amazing thing about "The Train Kept A-Rollin'", though, is that for 65 years no one has really tinkered with what The Rock and Roll Trio did with it. Be they the smoky, torchy singer Imelda May — who recorded it in 2011 — or the grizzled punk veterans UK Subs (2018), they all return to the untrammelled, untameable energy of the Burnette brothers and Burlison.

Johnny Burnette and the Rock and Roll Trio recorded "The Train Kept A-Rollin'" in 1956 using a rockabilly/rock and roll arrangement. The Trio's version features guitar lines in what many historians consider to be the first recorded example of intentionally distorted guitar in rock music, [3] although blues guitarists, such as Willie Johnson and Pat Hare, had recorded with the same effect years.
